Corner Balance Results after installing LG GT2 Coilovers

Very impressed with Abel Chevrolet in Rio Vista CA. It was worth the drive. They did a corner balance and alignment for autocross/HPDE and the car feels amazing. They got pretty damn close to a 50/50 balance. They are the only dealership in northern CA that specializes in race prep for Corvettes.

Awesome news- congrats! I'm not surprised they nailed it.

It looks like I'll be following the exact same path very soon, Abel and all. Can you tell me how it feels in terms of being/staying planted around the curves? Also, I'm curious about how much you give up in ride quality for normal driving. Thanks.

I ran the LG Coilovers on my C5Z and loved em…. Rode nice and cornered like a mofo… I am running the DRM Bilsteins on my C6Z

How do they compare? I have a C6Z

I have the settings at 6/12 front and 7/12 rear and it is firm but still comfortable for street and highway. Bumps at freeway speed are more pronounced but won't make you cringe. In regards to handling, the weather had been pretty bad lately in the northern California Bay Area and I haven't had a chance to truly take the car out and push it. If the weather is dry this weekend there is an autocross at a retired military base using runways and taxiways and I'm hoping to put the car through its paces. Currently on Nitto NT01s.

If your local to the Bay Area, send me a PM and you can take it for a spin.

That's a very generous offer and it's much appreciated. I live roughly 2.5 hours from SJ but I will need to head there within the next few weeks. I probably won't be there before the ball is rolling on my upgrade, but you never know. If it fits, I'll check with you- for a ride only, not a drive. That would be plenty. Thanks again!

No worries, it would be my pleasure to take you for a ride!

Awaiting results and hoping they are good.

Mine came out a perfect 50/50. I sent a lot of time measuring hard locations on the chassis not fenders, once I got the ride hgt and stance I wanted. Took it for the corner balance and alignment with 1/2 tank, they added driver ballast. Really happy, should get to VIR soon, can't wait. I can rear feel the rear end movement now much more than before the coil over swap. Exit ramps are amazing now!

Also thanks to Dane and the LG staff for answering my install questions for the GT2s. Install was a breeze!

What did you have your camber set to front and rear?

Love the DRM's, upgraded bushings.. The LG's make the car feel more planted for sure.. The DRM's however were specifically valved for our cars and truly enhance the driving experience.

Do you have a specific reason for wanting to try and corner weigh the car with 1/2 tank? usually you end up jacking the corners around way more with 1/2 tank due to all your driver weight and all the fuel load on the left side of the car. I've found that running the car as close to full (or as close to empty) as possible is the best and trying to scale the car correctly with 1/2 tank is the worst because you're adjusting for ~70 pounds worth of fuel on the wrong side of the car.

When I had Rich and Phil align and corner balance the car, I filled up with full fuel at a service station across the street from them. I autocross and frequently take passengers for rides or have a co-driver and it’s nice to be able to have perfect weight distribution when driving solo and have the option to run with half fuel and have a passenger or co-driver and also have really good weight distribution.

Exactly. It's nice to be able to "fudge" the numbers a little using fuel to offset passenger weight.

On the alignment printout it shows negative front toe and positive rear toe. Does that correspond to front toe out and rear toe in?
