Arc audio ks125.4 - good upgrade?
I have the chance to get an arc audio ks 125.4 fairly cheap and was wondering if it is worth upgrading? I have factory navigation w/ Bose currently but am going to be installing a kenwood ddx9904s. I dont plan to change factory speakers right away though as I already have several other projects in the works.
Is it worth $175 and how easy is it to just replace the factory hose with this? |
That is a pretty good price on that amp, given the condition is good. The Arc mini's are nice little amps. Chances are you're going to want to replace the bose speakers sooner rather than later, but that amp should have no problem with them.

Actually ended up getting it for $150. Thanks for the response!

Your door subs will be a problem. They are 1 ohm and will make the amp shutdown. If you have an early yrs C6, the amp is built into the speaker. If you're not planning on hooking this up to the woofers, then you should be fine.

I actually decided to do something a little different
replace head unit with Kenwood ddx9904s powered by stock bose: leaving BOSE subs in doors and replaced twiddlers with JL C2-350x Powered by Arc Audio Mini: replace rears with C2-650 component (front channels) Add 10tw3-D4 sub (powered by rear channels bridged) |

I bought the arc audio 5 channel amp (think they call it the mini) but it is small for a 5 channel. Impressive little amp!
