It's actually not necessary to remove the wheels. I just got under mine after lifting it and did it. Much quicker.

I have had my Stingray for a year now and I'm always looking for something to do to it. I am curious, why would you want to lower your car like this? Can you provide pros/cons advantages/disadvantages? Would doing this affect the front end alignment? I have a couple speed bumps in my neighborhood and I have clearance, but not a whole lot of clearance...thanks for any input!

Definitely get an alignment. It messes with the alignment quite heavily. Don't listen to the people who tell you you don't have to. They are wrong! I have an alignment machine and have done before and after numbers.

Really! i should have tried to do it with the wheels on. because those wheels where heavy! my buddies says it drives really well and straight, but i told him to get it aligned just in-case. thanks for the input gents.

What are the before and after numbers? I lowered mine all the way down on stock bolts and then had 2 separate Chevrolet dealers check alignment and it was well within specs.

Aren't those bolts also used for fine-tuning corner weight?

Sure. But if you bring the whole car down by the same amount you'll be exactly the same. And there is no way GM corner balances these
