Ebay... says matching numbers - Warbonnet Roadsters are not to difficult to find, however well equipped is a different story- I do not know that I have seen another Warbonnet as well equipped as this one. Especially built this early.

That car has divorce written all over it. It would begin with me asking the wife to borrow the truck for a week and end when I showed up with another car in pieces.
Really does look like a good project but a TON of work. If you had the seller do it, I’d guess $50k. |
Ton of work, however if you had C3 frame off experience there is A LOT of the hard work done for you... PLUS you are sure of what you have regarding the frame and mounts.
Buying this you are a 100 hours ahead if you were buying a project to begin with - |
Keep in mind - The seller knows absolutely how much more work it needs and how much it can sell for when finished. If you just want the satisfaction of working on a car for free while spending lots money you can drop by my place any time. :D

I saw the car a few days ago. Very complete. Almost no rust. Many numbers matched. Birdcage perfect. Was sold.

Does "was sold" mean it isnt sold anymore?

Thanks. I had called the restoration shop, but just missed out on it. Sold for 16k I was told.
|
lLike I said. The car is sold.
|
Loss
Would have to think the “actual” owner took a real $$$ beating if the car was sold for $16k.

Don’t believe everything you are told. I know the purchaser, and he did not pay $16k.

More than 10% less than that.

There is often a story behind the story.

Very nice project for whoever picked it up. A lot of work to get this car to the finished state but looks like it has all the ingredients worth taking on. Good luck to the new owner and hope we see the progress on this getting completed.
