Rescale after Spring Change

I am wondering if I need to rescale the car after changing the spring rates on my coilovers. If not, how are you resetting the coilovers?

Did the spring change alter ride height at any of the 4 corners? If yes then it's worth checking.

I would.

I haven't changed the springs yet. If I measure all 4 corners height and adjust new springs to that height, will that get me close?

Scales

Don’t know, that’s why you should rescale

Ride height is where everything starts. A spring change will change heights. Corner weight will change as will alignment. The order is ride height ,no bar ,scale ,align ,verify scale

Thanks everyone. Guess I need to invest in some scales.

you need to rescale. There is no way to evenly distribute the new springs without scaling. Every spring is different, even if you measure them perfectly the weights wont be perfect

You should rescale. But, a friend of mine was a multi-time MAARS ITS champ (2nd gen Rx7) and never scaled his car. He only did it by heights.

Agreed. Even after taking off and putting on the same springs, my weights were off. I measured the threads and put them back to the same spot. Still needed to adjust slightly.
