Holley Sniper
 

Hi,

I have a friend that has installed Holley Sniper in his car.

With ignition on, then the fuel pump doesn't start up. (also if cranking)
The wires is connected as the instructions says, there are installed a switch relay, and it gets power when cranking also.

If he ground the small blue wire, on the fuel relay harness, then the pump starts. The relay seams to work.

What can be wrong?

P. S He only use the 7 pin connector/harness (No A/C, electric fan, CD box)
Also in the 7 pin connector, he don't use the Voilet and Dark Green wire, it is the old distributor with a FAST modul, but no signal out.

After complete install he should run the Set Up wizard first if he hasn't yet. I had that issue too where my pump wasn't priming and thought it was a bad relay!

Wizard has not been run, I will tell him too……..

Awesome!! After that set up step, every time you turn your ignition to the on position you will hear the pump prime for a few seconds every-time.Unfortunately it will not be a one step start. You will have to let it prime, wait a few seconds till the priming is done then you will have to complete the action by starting the car. But Im good with that!!

That makes it more cool , like the original Batmobile when they had to get the Atomic batteries to power and Turbines to speed, you just cant jump in a cool car and start it!!!

Thank you very much for the help, it is now startet and running :-) i have another question , the hose from the pcv valve Where should i connect it to the Holley?

Front bottom base. it's got a plug. You have to remove it and install a nipple for the hose... Good luck!!

thank’s but on the back there are 3 niples one of Them for brake vakum, Can i use that ?

Update, that car started up yesterday, after the wizard was done. :thumbs:
I was not there, but now they tell me, that they can hear something, that they this is the injectors ticking. The rpm is 1200-1300 in idle.

Maybe run the wizard again?

I suppose you could as long as it doesn't take away from you brake booster vacuum.

I don't think re-running the wizard will fix the issue. I would check for vacuum leaks and I'm sure you guys tried to lower the rpm's by setting the idle screw already..Right?. I would call Holley Techs. I ran into a issue after my install and a tech by the name of Dustin came though for me. Good luck.

And yes, I just talked to one of the guys, they did screw on the idle screw.

Just to update you all.
The owner called Holley again regarding the loud ticking.

Now Holley is saying, that they did have a problem, with the fuel pressure regulator, in a time periode, where this Sniper set was made.
So Holley has sent a new fuel pressure regulator to us now.

We hope the will solve the problem. I will keep you updated.

But if there are anyone having this ticking problem, then call Holley !

Just to be fair to Holley, they didn’t exactly Said that they have had a problem, i just told Them that we have tried everything to lower the pressure and that i have read about some other guys with the same problem who replaced the regulator whitch solved the problem.
The Said that i could have the same problem and will send me a New updated regulator.
