Price check

2017 Corvette Z06 2LZ clean carfax 6,270 miles for $67,995

What is yalls opinion on price? I'm new to the Z06 but from my research seems reasonable but that is why I'm here.

Seems a bit high. But I'm sure they are asking that so they can settle for $65k.

Thomasmoto 03-12-2019 03:22 PM

That's not too high for a starting point for negotiations to begin with. I think it could be bought for 60 to 62K. Make an offer and see. If they say no, walk away. Go back a few days later. There are lots of Z06's available these days.

That was their "no haggle price". LOL

They are offering $39k for my 2016 Corvette 1LT, NPP, PDR, Nav, Mag ride, Z51 spoiler, Z51 tires and rims with 24k miles. Not sure how I feel about that. 😐

JJLAI724 03-12-2019 04:06 PM

And what is the KBB and NADA price? If you are comfortable with the price, then go ahead and enjoy the new ride.

Good luck...

This thread is completely above my pay grade, but just spitballin' around on Carmax website, https://www.carmax.com/cars/chevrole...year=2016-2017

They have almost the exact cars participating here, for about these prices +/- a couple grand.
And that is to be taken with whatever valuation you give them for their pricing. I find they rip you off on the trade-in, but you can score un-driven Corvettes for cheap on their lot.
They will even tell you, if you want the best price for your trade, go sell it on your own and come back.

Good trading!

Thanks, I'm in no hurry so I'm going to keep searching for the best deal I can find.

what was sticker on this car—90ish?

Its probably a decent deal. If the car is immaculate with no curb rash on the wheels and no scratch or marks on the paint.

If you are concerned about money. Find a low mileage c6z for under 35k maybe even high twenties and fix the heads. It’s probably a better long term keeper , faster and will be a much more satisfying experience with the NA 427 versus the supercharged lunk of a motor that the LT4 is. Have had both. The c7z is a complicated pig.

Mr. Gizmo....how dare you!

GuyQ 03-12-2019 10:11 PM

I spent a few hundred dollars less less than that last May for a well optioned 17 1LZ with 2,500 miles. I think they are close but probably just a little high. Like others said, it's a decent starting point but if it's truly no haggle you can likely do better.

Just paid $79K for a 2019 Sebring Orange 2LZ, M7, with black calipers, dual roof and competition seats. Lots of new inventory, so 20% OFF is coming. $62K or walk.

TXshaggy 03-13-2019 10:10 AM

Without additional info a 2LZ Z is a low-mid $80s MSRP. Asking price represents around 20% off...as others have said this is a good target % for a new in stock car with the right incentives.

Get the original MSRP and shoot for minimum of 30% off.

Why don't you just get rid of that piece of junk C7 ZO6 you have? All you do is bitch about it.

Hey turtleterd, these c7z’s are all created equal. I am thinking I’ll hang on to it. These c7z’s are so fugly they might become cool and worth zillions. This rendition of the corvette has an aura to it like a Pontiac aZtec or an amc pacer or gremlin.

You must have a lot of fun on Facebook, too, what with the juvenile name-calling. Grow up.

You act like it. It's full of people who think they're masters of witty comments and clever satire and idiotic name-calling. Others just like being the dog-in-the-manger type. Most forum commenters seem to think you're a damned fool. What do you get out of the constant grumbling in the bulk of your posts? Just curious.

They refuse to move on the price, so I walked. I would like to go new but it's not in the budget.
