Antifreeze at the top rear of the block

It's time for one of the best Corvette shows in all of Florida this Sunday - March 17th at Centennial Park in downtown Venice, FL.

In preparation for just parking on the street (we don't have our own cars in the show) I was cleaning and noticed this small amount of antifreeze at the top right rear of the block as shown in the picture. I know it's antifreeze from the taste. I've never had this before in more than 5 years. Thoughts on where the source is and the corrective action?

Could you take the picture a little closer it's way too far away? Just kidding back up and add a little lighting.
What I would do is clean it out start the car up and watch and see where it's forming from.

EDIT: I was looking on my phone at the picture. It actually is much easier to see now that I am using the computer. I would still dry it out and start the car and see if it's coming out from the bolt or the gasket on the side. Looks like the gasket to me, but it could have been sprayed on there and run to that position. I would try to verify where it came from before any repair attempts. When I've had intake bolts oozing anything, it was oil. Just for my own satisfaction I'd also check for antifreeze in the oil.

intake gasket or seal and re torque intake bolts.....from what I could see?!?!

Are you willing to bet your health or life on that unknown substance testing method?

I'd put a little thread sealer on the intake bolts before I went medieval on things....

Even so - run the car up to temperature and let the radiator pressurize and watch carefully...

I've seen pinhole leaks in radiator hoses spurt like an artery, but only after the engine was hot...

I put thread sealer on every bolt when I removed the washer from each bolt. I'll get it up to temp later today and see what I find. Tasting - a little dab will do ya.

That's what I would have done... Hit them all while you're doing it...
I just did my fuel pump and gave the thread sealer about 12 hours before operating the car...

I've used the "taste test" on anti-freeze before to confirm a leak and for hand cleaner I used to use the old leaded gas...

I haven't grown a second head yet...

FYI - According to "The Condensed Chemical Dictionary", ninth edition: ethylene glycol, hazard: toxic by ingestion or inhalation; lethal dose reported to be 100cc (a little over 3 ounces).

Got it warmed up and this is what I found. No leaks from hoses so the bolt is the likely culprit. Will pull it, clean it and put more thread sealer on it. This will be at least the 3rd time in so what's the best torque for the aluminum manifold?

Actually Edelbrock states: Center 4 bolts @25 Ft Lbs and outside bolts at 20 Ft Lbs per their sequence......I personally would go 25 Ft Lbs for all per their sequence.....

JohnZ has said in his "Intake Swap" article to tighten to 30 ft-lbs and use sealant on all but the four corner bolts...

I have my dog taste it. If he laps it up then I know it's antifreeze. This is my 3rd dog.
