Console gear indicator
If I can find the bracket (for a '74), and get the pointer indicator for a '74, can they be easily installed on my '72 automatic? It always floored me that there was not a pointer or indicator of any kind to show what gear the car was in, at least on the '72. Thanks. It's something I'd like on the car but can and have lived without it.

The PRNDL plate is only there to show the sequence of gears in that car. Other brands of transmissions have a different sequence.
Do you really NEED an indicator to find the right gear range? There is a solid detent for D, L and P |
here's what i did a few years ago, homemade shift indicator for my '72 with a 700r4
