Sticky Threads/Charity Fund-raising

Historically, sticky threads have been permitted for a period of 7 days, although an extension to 30 days can be considered for events benefiting a charity, an activity supporting military troops or a multi-state Corvette event. Send requests to a section moderator.

Corvetteforum reserves the prerogative to create sticky threads of longer duration for activities and events it deems appropriate. Examples would include threads in support of the site’s designated philanthropy, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and state event listings showing activities by month.

Sticky threads should be located in an appropriate section, typically one of the regional events sections. For charity fund-raising threads, we can consider placement in Off Topic when contributions are sent directly to a 501c3 agency offering benefit country-wide or world-wide. Charity events benefitting local branches of a national or international charity are more appropriate for regional sections.

Once a thread is made sticky, it will be locked. If additional information pertinent to the topic becomes available, the thread starter can PM an update to a section moderator for consideration on being added to the thread.

Prior to being "stuck," the thread may be “bumped” by the thread originator once per day to remain current on page one, if no other members have replied.
