Replacing worn brake pads

What method are members using to compress the caliper pistons in order to get new pads to slide into place? Can it be done without removing the caliper?

Iron rotors? Just your hands, or if a little tough use a big wrench or screw driver. You can use the old rotor backing plate to get all pistons at once.

There are plenty of tools, I own a few, but this is the easiest method.

i use my fingers or a “c” clamp or before you remove the old pad press against it to move the pistons back . I protect the caliper finish with a cloth. The c7 is designed so you don’t have to remove the caliper. Go to YouTube and search changing pads on a c7z06. It easy you just knock out the pins and the pads lift out.
