‘70 LT-1 with PS

Is it possible for a ‘70 LT-1 to have PS that has a VIN with the last four of 2018? Seems a little early in that production year to have PS. My impression is that PS wasn’t available until late ‘70. 2018 indicates an early production in that year. Correct?

is it 12018 or 02018? big difference of early vs late...

I thought A/C was the belt driven option that was not available with the LT1 (until 1972) because it threw the belt.

He is asking about PS not AC. PS was offered late production in 1970 but not AC. Oil pan changed to a 5 QT from a 6QT to allow for PS.

No P/S from the factory with the CTU stamped engine which had the "6 qt" oil pan.
CTK stamped engines showed up in late March or so. March production is vin 5184-7977, so maybe P/S started around car 7000.
CTK engines along with the rest of the 350's had the "5 qt" oil pan which allowed for the P/S steering linkage.
It is possible that an owner of an early CTU car added P/S along with changing the pan, But if there is documentation, like a tank sticker, that says P/S, beware!
So No P/S from the factory with CTU and CTK may or may not have P/S.

Some are troubled by a lack of a sense of humo(u)r.

Sorry, Sir, it wasn't your sense of humo(u)r that I questioned.
