I remember the "Hot Chevy" Indy car race car. Actually, it was CART back then. I was at the Meadowlands when it ran that course. It had a NA Chevy small block V8, Sounded great but didn't fair well against the likes of Penske, If my memory is correct, this car preceded the Chevy Indy engines that dominated CART around 1990. This is back in the day when Buick also ran their V6 in CART cars. OMG that's a long time ago. I went to all of those races at the Meadowlands. Too bad it didn't survive. |

Kudos on your thread introduction w/the Konner/Zora connection and your ME folder under lock. Chuck showed you his view from his 23rd floor in Las Vegas. In that view is the Westgate Hotel which was originally the International Hotel. The largest hotel and casino in the world at the time. Within two years it became the Las Vegas Hilton.
During Elvis Presley's first 4-week concert engagement at the brand new 1,500 room International, he set a Vegas record of 101,509 concert customers. That was 50 years ago. That place was the first true mega-resort in LV, not too far from the Wynn Hotel (our stay). To the right in the pic is a hospital and med center. |

Great pics as always Mike. Just curious, in 1991 when Conner was the #1 dealer in the world, how many Corvettes did they sell per year at that time? It'd be interesting to compare then to now. Thanks. Happy St Patrick's Day!
