Where is a good place to buy a nice C6

I am looking to buy a well cared for C6 or even a C5 that is exceptionally nice.
Convert or hard-top is fine.
Any color is good and any option packages are okay.
This is for an extra second spare car in Florida, (as I have a 2019 C7), so I am not fussy about it.

I have looked at many lots here in SW Florida and am disappointed with the dealers inventories.
Most have been power washed and armorall'ed and put out on lot for sale to people who do not know how to fine a great car (like me).
It seems that few people really take great care for their used corvettes.
Can anyone tell me where I might go to find a C6 that has been well cared for? Thanks in advance if you respond.

I am so with you on this. I've been looking for months now and it almost makes me wish I didn't sell my restored '74 Stingray :( But alas, one just needs to be patient. The diamond in the ruff is out there for each of us. We just need to excel in the virtue known as "patience".

Have either of you seen my ad here? It's virtually a brand new 08, Z51, 6 speed, loaded.

What kind of price range are you looking to be in ? My 06 automatic vert is never driven and I may consider selling to the right buyer. Maybe step up into a C7 ??

Have you checked out this dealer in Punta Gorda? These cars look pretty clean.

I have been toying with selling my 2008 Z06, Victory Red 2LZ with 14500 miles on the clock. Always garage kept. I just don't drive it that much and have thought about selling..PM me if you're interested in talking.

Hi

I've watched this thread for a while and I can't believe you haven't found a car to your liking. I will offer mine only because I'm thinking of a new C8 in early Summer. My car is an '11 Grand Sport convertible which was new in Punta Gorda Florida. It got to Mass. where Corvette Mike drove it as his personal car for 2k miles. I bought it from him last August and have only driven it limited. The car has 9k original miles on it and is flawless. Red w/cashmere top and interior. 6 speed paddle shift automatic with every option except for ride control. I have the window sticker for the car which was $72.675.00.The original owner is 76 years old now and still lives in Florida. He did some very nice things to the car when he owned it. It has a factory ZR1 rear spoiler, an exhaust plate in the back, led taillights and most importantly brand new Hankook tires all around, no more run flats. Hard to say what I paid for this car as I traded him 2 cars plus cash to get this beauty. I'm not sure what your price range is but although it may seem high, I would need in the low $40's to move it. If you have any interest shoot me your personal email and I will send you some pics......Thanks for listening, Mark

I've got a friend looking to move his C5 coupe. He just put new wheels and tires on it a year ago. The car is pretty clean. PM me if interested.

Your ad doesn't specify what transmission you're looking for.

That's because this is not my ad. I have an ad of my own out there. But since we are on this topic, yes I do need an automatic it must be Crystal red metallic, and not a convertible.

buickman69 03-26-2019 05:26 PM

Mr. Utah, your car is at my friends house in Nashville TN. Yes it is Automatic and the exterior color you are looking for. Check out my ad here in the FS section.:)

I have a 2013 GS and am placing an order for a new GS. Mine has been my daily driver and currently has 96,000 road miles on it. It actually shows way better than you would expect as I am a corvette junkie and personally detail her every weekend! It's victory red, black, a6,1LT, black painted rims, red calipers. It is in South Florida and for just 25K for a GS would be a perfect car for you. I could let her go in about 4 to 6 weeks depending on the new GS arrival.
