Value Question - 1994 ZR-1

I am going to be selling my 1994 ZR-1. White/black - it is not stock.
19K miles
Tuned by Corey Henderson
Custom exhaust:
Full length headers
random tech cats (passes emission no problem).
B&B Tri Flows
Heads have not been off the car, no internal mods.
Top end has been ported
Valve covers and plenum have been painted.
4.09 gears
MovIt brakes - Red Calipers - 993 Twin Turbo up front Boxster S on the rear
Original 5 spoke wheels.
18" Fikse wheels available
New fuel injectors.
I have owned this car for 19 years or so.
I need to get it out and get some new pics to put it on Ebay.
Before I do that - any comments on value? Trying to be realistic on value.

Thanks,
D.

Be prepared for frustration and disappointment.
I've yet to see a ZR1 sell on eBay for anything near what it's worth.
That being said, it's a cool color combo, 1 of 40 produced in '94.
I would expect it's worth mid to high $20K's, but I would be seriously surprised if an eBay auction got anywhere near that.
I wouldn't even think of Barrett Jackson or Russo or any of the other auctions, haven't seen any decent prices on any C4 ZR1's in the last couple of years.
Good luck with your sale.

I hear ya.

Being a 94-95 helps - newer interior.

I was thinking $30K but I may be dreaming.

ask 30, expect 26-28

zr-1s aren't fetching big money but you do have miles and rarity in your favor nice car, keep it.

Mileage is definitely in your favor.....I would advertise it here on the forum or ZR-1 registry.....

A couple more notes;

Has fluidyne radiator and oil cooler (not a bad thing to have in Texas). Upgraded oil cooling lines.

I also have a spare transmission. I snagged one when GM was cleaning out their warehouse in 2004. Was $2K plus shipping.

I also have a bunch of extra stuff. Like original replacement spark plug wires (the ones Wirth the lettering), water pump, hose kit, gaskets, etc.

I think I have a spare NOS flywheel also.

The list of parts is long (just ask my wife).

I will have to dig all that out.

If I Ebay the car I suspect I'll just sell the car with the 5 spokes and sell the parts separate.

If somebody on here wants it with all the spare parts, etc - bring a truck n trailer.

I would agree. You will do better trying to market to ZR1 knowledgeable enthusiast who will appreciate what you have. Ebay is WAY too pedestrian for our cars.

Case in point.... you mention that your car has had some "pixy dusty" sprinkled by Corey Henderson? That fact MEANS something tot our community but the average Joe tire kicker will have no clue and will not see the value and/or pay extra.

Marketing 101; mass market mass produced products, target market the unique specialties.

Yeah - only time it went to the track.

That was before Corey tuned it.

I agree with staying away from eBay for the reasons stated. If your determined to sell it relatively quickly in this manner you might be somewhat better off at “Bring a Trailer” Auctions. https://bringatrailer.com/ At least it’s a more specialized audience that will have a better feel for the work that went into the car and the extras. That said sales in the past of similar cars is not encouraging. A 95’ with 7k mikes last fall got to $25,700 and did not sell. A 93’ with 22k miles sold for $22 in the spring. The 90’-92’ cars tend to sell for a bit less. There’s a White/Black 91’ 45k miles on there now with 4 days to go and it’s at $12k current bid. It will be lucky to break $20k. And sold for $18,750.
Good luck
H
