After almost a year of looking at a lot of cars, I finally found the one!

2009 Z06 3LZ.

Chassis has 36k miles.
The previous owner neglected to have the heads done and, At 34000 miles it dropped a valve and destroyed the motor.

So he took it to our local Chevrolet dealership and had a new LS7 crate motor installed, Along with a small cam and new clutch.

I put it up in the air at my shop the other day and was surprised to find that It has a Billy boat quad fusion axle back on it as well.

Prior to me purchasing it Premiere performance put it on the dyno and tuned it, And went over the whole car to make sure that there was no unaddressed issues. I could not be happier with my purchase and am excited to be a part of the Community!

It's been raining the last few days so I havent been driving it, and I curse mother nature each day that I look at the weather and see rain forecasted.

Couple things to know.
Because a LS7 is 'new' does not mean it can't develop a head issue, sometimes quite fast mileage-wise.
Many are adamant 'stock' LS7 heads weren't engineered properly from the start.
It's claimed valve geometry's off enough the angle causes stem friction in guide, premature guide wear.
Poorly wearing guide(s) don't hold valve stem firmly resulting w/ heat build-up. Eventual valve stem fails/breaks, valve is ingested. Game over.
Ask original owner, he undoubtedly learned quite a bit re this matter, albeit too late.

Many owners cut to the quick, have heads rebuilt by any # of reputable shops, a few are supporting vendors & 'know' LS7 like few others.
Be thinking about this, it's a 'proactive' kind of issue since there's never a warning. Just a large bill.

3LZ. Check leather around windshield for delamination. Only gripe I've ever heard re 3LZ.

The shop that went over the car prior to me purchasing it deals with these cars alot said that the heads had been addressed.

I paid 33k for the car
Invoice from GM for the ls7 shows $11k
(I have a stack of receipts for all the work that was done & parts that were purchased)

Beautiful car!!! Did the dealer do all the work? If so, first time I ever heard of a dealer putting a non-stock cam in a new motor...

Yup, dealer did the work. They also put the MGW short throw into the car at the same time.
