All I can say is WOW!

Would you look at this! We’ve been discussing a lot about C6 GS lately and comparing to other cars... how does this fancy your eyes guys? A 2013 GS-63 split window coupe 🤯😍

I've never cared for these conversions. To me, they just don't look right. Wheel base, body width etc. is all wrong visually.

Only thing great about a split window car is something to get in the way of your rear vision.

Im not quite sure I’d ever buy one but honestly kind of cool to look at to me and it’d be fun to drive for a night

Oh no!

I think it's cool. You won't confuse it with the original, but you get a 1 of a kind car. Expect to pay big bucks for that car if done right. Basically it's a toy to put in your collection, if you have one and the money for it.

Adding a pic if case someone doesn't want to click the link.

The interior really doesn’t match and it’s not supposed to, but I love the 63 interior lol. Nonetheless for a custom car they did a nice job and this would give you a 63 appearance with a modern ride. It wouldn’t be something I’d invest the money in but I’d like to drive it for a night 😎

I can appreciate the effort and result, and someone is losing their ass!

They have a “call for price” on the description I can only imagine what they’re asking.. going to seriously take that right niche buyer for this one. Definitely though even if they’re asking $100k they’re still probably losing money on that one lol

These two conversions were done in 2010.
One was a 2009 ZR1 underneath with some bits of a 1954 and a lot of fiberglass work on the topside. Yeah some $$$$$$ there.
The other was C6 on the underside and custom on the top by the guy in the pic with his shop name on the rear plate. I don't know where those C7ish headlights came from 3 years before the C7 introduction.

I always said when I see these kind of cars some thing just does not look right. You hit the nail on the head. And to boot they charge a ridiculous amount for the conversion.

To me, it's like gold-plating a rare silver coin. Maybe someone would want it for the looks, but the value of the original is destroyed. And it's not really a gold coin. If it were me and I could afford the $$ and have the space to garage it and my c6, I'd buy a c2. At least I've never seen someone take a c2 and try to mod it into a c6, but I'll bet someone out there can find an example.:hide:

i thought I’d hate it, but it actually looks good to me. Supercharger helps, an interior change would have been nice.

Dano523 03-23-2019 03:24 PM

Going to say pass, since if you put the show cars in a wind tunnel to check aerodynamics, most of the mod'd for show cars are a nightmare isntead.

I know this is right. These retro-take offs aside, I wouldn't own an org. 63 split window if someone gave it to me just because of that darn thing running down the back window !!! Talk about a POS undesirable non collector waste of $$$$ !!!!!........:willy::willy::willy:
