Long Shot Muffler ID
I know this is a long shot, as I am fairly certain the mufflers on my car are replacements . . .
I'm just trying to find out what kind/brand they might be. The only identifying marks on them are debossed letters that say "OUTLET" and "21612". They are in pretty good shape, although my exhaust pipes do hav a decent amount of surface rust. Maybe someone has an idea of what the muffler are? Aren't you guys glad that I joined this forum and will never run out of questions for you? :D |

Wow! That was fast! I've never heard of walker exhaust. Doesn't $562.73 seem steep for a muffler?
Thanks for quick reply! |
It looks like that PN has been discontinued.
That's why the price is bonkers. |
Dynomax super turbo/walker are dropping a lot of those types of mufflers from their line
Id grab a pair of whitebox turbos from a muffler shop. Some have the same internal flow directors if you call around they are out there. Unless youre real power conscious not sure theres a real difference in power just sound. |
You guys nailed it. Definitely Walker mufflers. Thanks for the replies.

I just read that Walker supplied the factory mufflers, so I suppose these could be original.

Walker could have built them but the OEM muffler would not say Walker on it, it would say GM

During a seminar about exhaust about a month ago at the Cincinnati NCRS the judges showed a 2000 mile 72 and a 11,000 mile 68. Both had a W on the mufflers for WALKER. One W was facing down and the other side W was facing up.
