FRESH DYNO #s!!

Just a quick check in and update. I've now had my 98 supercharged C5 for 21 years, and have been modding it for just about the same time...Can't remember exactly when I first added the the Carol supercharging set-up to my C5, but it's probably been 15 years ago. I'm now running a modifed ECS system with a custom Air to water heat exchanger set up.

After 7 years with my QMP built ls3 motor, it needed to be freshened up. I had QMP build me another stroked LS3, but had a slight issue and had to pull the motor again after only 600 miles...

QMP stepped up and handled the situation,
(a bolt that holds the timing chain guard had to be shortened since it blocked one of the newly added oil piston squirters they had just introduced to the block. While they certainly added loctite and tightened it down very well, it still came loose, did a little damage as it bounced around).

Just finished reinstalling the motor and did a little upgrade to the stationary Idler, since the bolt was getting tired and actually bent, obviously then threw belts...

Anyway, this car has ALWAYS been a bit of a punisher to work on, but as of yesterday, gave in for now...

we put the MSD intake back on, only change from the recently built setup. It netted us another 30 HP and 20 TQ

It's so nice to finally have the car working and running again, here's the graph...for reference, the dyno reads 200 RPM off, so peak HP hits around 6100. I've got the belt quite tight, but it's still hard to hold boost much past 6200. Not too much of an issue, since you can just shift and be right back into massive TQ...

Going to hit the runway late this month, hope to see a few more MPH...will certainly have some fresh vids...

How much boost are you seeing? Any issues with the MSD intake leaking?

12.5# of boost at peak, and no leaks from the MSD...

Thanks, I will, since I'm a bit behind this car when it comes to pain vs pleasure...

Thank you, and yes, the car is tuned on 91/Torco. I also use meth from Torco in my Alky Control duel meth setup...

Are you saying the dyno is 200 rpm off because of the graphs not crossing at 5252? The graph should not cross at 5252 because of different scales on the HP axis vs the TQ axis. The TQ and HP are equal numbers at 5252. BTW very nice numbers I am at similar numbers what have you done to improve traction?

The 200 off basically means that the top of the graph shows it rolls over around 6K, but it actually holds boost and does not start to fall off till around 6200...:yesnod:
