Posting about the 7th annual Corvette Invasion!!

This year we will INVADE the City of Bastrop Texas on Friday and Saturday before we caravan out on Sunday to the Circuit of the Americas Race Track.

Friday Morning: Vendors will be open to the public all day.
That evening we will host a "Meet and Greet" at the Convention Center in Bastrop.

Saturday Morning: There will be Car Show at the Convention Center parking lot from 9:00am-1:00pm. Awards will start at 1:00pm

Vendors will be indoors on Friday and Saturday.

(Offsite parking will be available for all visitors)

Saturday Evening: First (300) Corvettes registered will parade downtown before exploring Bastrop that night.

Sunday Morning: We will meetup in Bastrop and caravan over to the Circuit of the Americas for "Parade Laps" on the only F1 track in America.

Ticket bought last week...cant wait

Is buying a ticket the same as registering? All I see is tickets for sale on the website.

Yep, buying a ticket is the same as registering.

I heard that only 15 rooms were left at the Hampton Inn Bastrop host hotel - Please contact General Manager, Tammy Johnson 512-321-2898 and mention "Corvette Invasion" if you wanted to book there.

What is the ticket good for?

Its good for entry into the show and shine car show on the Saturday and the parade laps of the Circuit of the Americas on Sunday.

Just bought my ticket. Looks like a lot of fun! Where is everyone staying? Is the Hampton Inn the "official" hotel?

The Hampton Inn is the official host hotel, but I think I heard it sold out. I have seen updates on alternative hotels with group rates:

1) The Holiday Inn Express located at 491 Agnes, Bastrop, TX 78602. Please Contact: General Manager, Dawn Sevcik at 512-321-1900 and Mention "Corvette Invasion"
2) The Best Western Bastrop Pines Inn located at 107 Hunters Crossing Boulevard, Bastrop, Texas. Please Contact: General Manager, Veena Tewani 512-321-0900 and Mention "Corvette Invasion"

If you're a golfer and/or a Hyatt member, the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines is a great upscale resort with an awesome golf course and spa. Its pretty close to Bastrop also.

Purchased "Show and Shine" tickets a couple days ago, not sure if I am part of the "300"! Looking for a hotel as I type! This is my first large Corvette event as I have only owned my C6 since last year September. Lookinf forward to meeting people and having fun.

Hi - if you bought a Show and Shine and Parade lap ticket recently, you are part of the 300 allowed to do the Sunday parade laps and having parking for the show. If you only bought the Show and Shine ticket, then you should have set parking for the show on Saturday.

If you are attending the Corvette Invasion and want to do actual hot laps on track on Sunday July 21, here is your chance for $150 for one 30 min session. This is run by Edge Addicts who host more HPDE's and Track days at COTA than any other. They are a first class operation and focus on safety and driver education.

Corvette Invasion Hot Laps

This offer is open to any Corvette Invasion participant (convertibles must have factory rollover protection or aftermarket).

Your registration gives you one at-speed sessions on track, in your car, with an instructor. Each session is approximately 30 minutes long. Also provided, is one classroom sessions that helps explain the fundamentals of performance driving. Multiple sessions can be purchased if you would like more time on track.

You must be currently registered for Corvette Invasion, and Your Corvette Invasion registration number must be added in the notes section, registrations will be verified.

OK so this is some of the worst registration information I have seen. First I had to ask if buying a ticket was registering. Was told yes. So now I have to ask what is a registration number? All I have from eventbrite is an order number. Is this what I need for hot laps?

Assuming the Hot Laps sessions be after the Parade Laps on Sunday? Just trying to gauge what time things will be ending on Sunday.
Also, what is required equipment for coupes, i.e. helmet, etc?
