FYI, Costco has their 36 pack of Kirkland microfiber towels [yellow] on sale for $12.99 [$15.99 - $3.00=$12.99]. Expires 4/14/2019.

No, these are the "Yellow" microfiber towels...at least at my Costco here in NC.

They're a good value. I use them on my DDs and things like door jambs, engine compartments, wheels and things of that nature on the Vette.

I've had good luck with both these yellow Costco towels and the multi-color set (orange, Yellow, Grey) that Sam's Club sells. They all clean up well and remain soft using Chemical Guys microfiber cleaner.

So do the CD test on these, as they can wear out very quickly and cause swirls.
The CD test is rubbing the towel on the recorded side if a CD in a single direction with medium pressure. Then look at the CD in sunlight, if you see scratches in the same line you rubbed, then it will scratch your paint. Out of a 36 pack, I have 10 pass the CD test after two washings, than it was downhill from there. As an owner of a detail shop I would look for an equivalent towel from the Rag Company. These have lasted me 8+ years and used on a daily basis in a detail shop. In the long run these are way cheaper, and much, much higher quality |
I just use them on door jams,underhood and interior and thats about it. They're so cheap, I usually just pitch them when they get too dirty. I never use on the paint finish itself. I use the Rag co. Eagle Edgeless on paint finish. Hopefully the Eagle's aren't too harsh on the paint finish?!

I just went to Costco and the prices on those micro-fibers are not on sale. At least not here. It's the same price of $14.99 or $15.99:lurk:

Why fool around washing the towels when they're this inexpensive? I use them on my black 17 GS and toss them when I'm done. At $15 for 36 towels, it's not worth the trouble to wash them.
