Blk/BLK 2016 C7 Z06/Z07 1LZ M7 in Chicago!

****SOLD****

Hi Folks,

Selling my 2016 C7 Z06, Manual, Black on Jet Black, 1LZ, with carbon everything - including Carbon Buckets and Carbon Ceramics. This is the lowest weight factory spec'd Z06 that GM offers.

I purchased it stock with no mods and 14k+ miles from the original owner in September 2018. The car currently has 16,5k miles on the odometer and will continue to go up as its driven over the weekend and only during clear skies and sunny weather. Since the purchase I have installed an x-pipe(corsa replica from west coast corvette), and an AFE intake with no issues and no codes being thrown. The car has been fully ceramic coated with 5 layers of coat, and the paint has been corrected. Full factory bumper to bumper warranty is valid until 6/29/19 or 36k miles and Powertain until 2021 or 60k miles. Oil change was conducted less than 500 miles ago with full factory spec'd synthetic used. Additionally, I replaced the cup 2 tires with brand new Michelin PS A/S 3 tires installed last month, they're ZP (run flats).

Carfax attached in posts below. Note damage mentioned was minor cosmetic wear to front lip and rear diffuser resulting from another vehicle backing up while car was sitting in a parking lot and NOT an accident.

The car has never been tracked and the carbon ceramics bite hard! It is ready to be enjoyed. PM me with any questions. Asking $60,000. Not entertaining any trades.

Build Sheet (some options to highlight)
- HUD
- Apple Car Play
- Bluetooth Audio
- Back up camera
- Full Carbon Stage 3 Aero
- Carbon Buckets
- Carbon Ceramic Brakes
- While it seems 1LZ is bare bones, effectively the only options missing are heated and cooled seats which wont come w/carbon buckets and PDR

Would love feedback from other members on price point and other factors to have a successful sale.

Well if the car is 3 years old, you would expect it to be worth somewhere in the 70% of msrp range. That’s excactly where you are at, so pricing is average but not great deal range. The car has probably gone out of the 3/36 Andre you don’t mention any extended warranty. Many sellers have the added security of the extended GM warranty, so buyers feel more protected. Bottom line, if you don’t need to sell quick, you could hang where your at. If you want a quicker sale, somewhere in the $62k would attract interest.
Just my opinion, take it for what it’s worth. GLWS

Thank you so much for your advice. Full factory bumper to bumper in effect until Jun 29, 2019. Powertrain valid until 2021. Will update my post.

That will definitely help. Easier and cheaper for the buyer to get GM extended warranty while it’s still under factory warranty

I've been looking to purchase a used Z06 for the past few months. To me, it seems that the release of the ZR1 caused a surge in Z06 offerings during that time. Now that the C8 has a 'hard' reveal date there seems to be an absolute deluge of Z06s and ZR1s on the market. There is so much available that it's even caused me to pause and see how far the market drops.

I understand. Good luck with search.

Dropping the price down to my lowest amount I would consider, $63k. Let's get her sold.

Midweek bump. Temps are going to start getting nicer here in the next week or so. Love to see this go to a enthusiast.

I have a 16 3lz listed for sale in here, 20000 miles

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...61-to-62k.html

I shopped the car to sell it to a dealer. I was offered a low of 54 from carmax to 58 from 2 local dealers and a couple of others in between.

My selling dealer bought the car for 61 and I had to twist his arm.

We agreed it needed front tires, all others felt it needed 4 tires and figured a 2 k hit.

It had a brand new Corsa system and yea they all wanted it but not money for it.

The dealer buying did not want the Corsa, so I’ll sell them and be money ahead.

good luck

Did you buy something else from the dealer?

SoCalDDP 04-26-2019 10:59 PM

As a reference I sold my 2016, A8. ZO6, 3LZ (4300 miles) on here in Aug 2018. It sold for $65,300 and I had it for sale for 2+months. MSRP was $94K.

A broker bought it and shipped to a dealer who after 3 price reductions, sold it below an advertised price of $67,500.

The broker took $500 for his fee, plus it cost about $500 to ship. Dealer has to invest some money just inspecting the car so they probably put $500 between the inspection & marketing.

$65,300+$500+$500+$500=$66,800

If it sold at $67,500 which realistically it must of sold for lower, the dealer lost money on the deal.

The market for these cars is not going up so decide where you want to be? In front of the market or chasing the market?

The dealer lost money on the deal.

Good advice. I am definitely in no rush and I think I am priced pretty fair for my spec.

No this was a simple sale. I am moving south and really have no time to use the car right now.

That and the fact that I have had it going on 4 years is too long for me, I usually trade off every 2 but liked the car and was waiting for the C8.

For me the time to sell in the north is early spring. I know one local lot starts to liquidate their corvette stock after 7/4.

Its hard to do a private sale for such an expensive car and with all the scams getting a chevy dealer to buy it was worth it to me.

Car was stickered at just over 91, I paid 84 had it for almost 4 years and got 61 and I pretty happy about that.

I also think once the GM announcement happens in July the price of used C7s will take another hit, but just my opinion.
