C2 exhaust exit on c1

Good morning members . I have a 61' and am wanting to move my exhaust exit out of the rear of body like the C2 exhaust does with the ports through the body . My question to you all is " Has anyone done this and what year exhaust tubes will fit the contour of my body ? Also I am running 2" pipe and am curious if this will fit ?

I seem to remember this same question being asked here once before . . . and someone did post a photo of a car so modified. I suppose the short answer is that anything can be done given enough time and money, but the real estate beneath your C1 (I have a '62) and the routing of the exhaust pipes through, under or over the frame to get where you want to go may be a little problematic.

I thought all but 62 had the tail pipes through the bumpers?

EDIT
Sorry.
I see in Corvette Central's listing both 61 & 62 existed behind the rear wheels. I guess it had to do with the new rear section of the body, I had thought it had to do with the 1962 327 engine.

problem on a c1 is the frame and the rear crossmember - its in the way
You would have to tuck it in real close the that crossmember or notch and plate it

it can be done but as previously stated it will need a bit of work

no mods to the crossmember but I had to discard the outer bumper brackets and trim the middle ones
