427 heads cam
I recently sent my heads out to rpm to get done and ordered a btr stage 4 cam I have American racing headers and a B&B exhaust with a haltech cai I was hoping to get around 600 whp does anyone have any ideas what I will put down or anyone have anything done similar

Very unlikely you will get to that with the stock intake. Ported msd would help out a lot

Someone told me you only get like 8 hp from that to not spend the money

20+ with Ported Heads & Medium Cam, with Headers, 235*+ Intake or larger Cam & well Ported MSD 35+. |
550 to 560 seems more reasonable.

That is a proven cam to make big power. However, you need all of the supporting mods to get there (600 RWHP range).

Are you sure you want a big donkey dick cam that drives like shit just to hit a certain number? -Especially since you thought Undy meant crank hp when he said 550-560...you honestly might want to reconsider to a BTR 3 at least.

lol putting an msd on my bolt on car did more power than any other single mod.... the stock ls7 intake is trash by today's standards

Should be In the 610 to 620 range with stock intake at the wheels. They seem to use a big cam to make big numbers, may end up driving kinda shitty in town. Higher numbers equals less drivability.

BTR 4 should even be a consideration without all supporting mods. I assume you're heads will be ported by saying they're being "done"...but that could just mean a valve job as well I suppose. You have good LT's, but ported heads and a FAST/MSD intake are also needed or you're choking the motor.

Set up
I made 608 at the tire with ported and decked heads,BTR 3 cam, lg LT's and ported stock intake. My setup ran really good and was proven over and over.
