Too good to be true?

It can't be this cheap and in this condition.

That’s gotta be a scam. If it’s not - I’ll take two!

R66 04-15-2019 03:40 AM

I'd like to see it! So what do you think it is worth being a base engine car?

Bowtyeguy 04-15-2019 07:11 AM

The pics are from the Vette dealer in Kaiser Mo. He is a member on here. SCAM

If it's as described with no surprises or issues, I think 40k would be a real bargain. Get an expert to look it over.

Base motor or not, nobody is selling a highly-optioned, rust free C2 coupe in the described condition for under $30K...

Scam-a-rooney...

Most likely a picture of a car on the internet that he don't even own , looking for a down payment from some sucker . "Run Forest Run"

That's the place where I bought my 65 Coupe back in December 18. Classic Cars Lake Ozark is a small Corvette dealer in Missouri. The guy I talked to was Shawn.

typo...........69.......not.......29

dr914 04-15-2019 01:16 PM

says 65 but in description 66, obvious scam

Frankie the Fink 04-15-2019 02:05 PM

Happens all the time....a restomodder buddy has had a picture of a 58 he built on some scam website for sale....
Totally bogus and most of these websites won't remove the listing even if you complain about it...

Site sez:

Remember...
- USclassifieds4all.com is NOT involved in any transaction (payment services, shipping, guarantee transactions, etc), does NOT offer "buyer protection" and does NOT offer "seller certification".
- USclassifieds4all.com does NOT accept any responsibility for the goods sold on this website. The advertiser bear all the responsibility. For any problems, please contact us.

So, lesson is that a scam trap can be set on any for sale site which I guess means we cannot always blame the site...though USclassifieds4all does not present itself with the wholesomeness of Borden's milk.

Sound too good to be true....It most certainly always (almost), is.

I know…...I know.....My Brother's Uncles 3rd Cousin was married to a gal who's Mother's Aunt was married to a guy who was killed in the war. She was finally able to let her (his), classic car go for over three times what he paid for it! She knew that because she still had the original bill of sale as well as the protecto plate. She sold it for $15,000.00! Yea...it's true!! LOL!

I think its legit and I'm buying it as soon as that Nigerian prince sends me my $1,500,000 payment because I am, "... a character of outstanding manifestations and integrity of reputation" (not my words)..

tuxnharley 04-15-2019 05:58 PM

Well, if a Nigerian prince said it then it must be true........:willy:

jsans 04-15-2019 11:40 PM

My guess is if you call them, they'll tell you the car in the ad is sold and try to sell you a different one for more money. Classic "bait and switch".
