How common is a C7 Corvette in your area?

I know c7's might be dime a dozen in some areas therefore no one really pays attention to it. I know up here in Canada, even in a big city like Vancouver, I still don't see too many even though it is already in its 6th model year. I guess that's why is still garners a lot of attention here as if I am driving some type of exotic.

Small, rural area... not at all.

JDSC8VETTE 04-15-2019 02:41 AM

Not many around my area. My ordered Vette was the only one my dealer sold last year.

I’m in a small resort town, and never saw a C7 (a few C6’s & a C5) but no C7 until I bought mine. Now I have seen three others.

I live near Michigan State U, with many Chinese students. The really rich ones tend to buy or lease Maseratis. You actually see more of those than C7s. There are a couple other C7s around that I notice, but not many. Driving mine, I almost always get thumbs up and positive comments in parking lots--especially from seven year old boys. ("Daddy, can we buy one of these?")

They are a dime a dozen in DFW. There are many Z06s around as well as base cars.

Large suburban area, very rare to see one. Have seen more on small-Chev dealerships (maybe 8-15 C7s on the lot) than in 1-2 months. Literally, that's my area. All told, not including any auto or Corvette show, I have not seen a total of C7s over all the years on the streets in my metro area that exceed the number on Criswell's open lot (not incl. the garage area).

When I lived in Nothern Va I would see several at Dulles or Katie’s cars and coffe. None in Morgantown WV

GRSAMS 04-15-2019 07:15 AM

There are a few around here, not a lot

TPAJETSKI 04-15-2019 07:24 AM

Tampa area. C7s are everywhere.

LuisZ51 04-15-2019 07:26 AM

Very common in my area. I live close to the famous Sebring raceway. There are a ton of retired folks around me. They are mainly all the same cars though. Base model 1lt, chrome rims about half verts half coupes.

In the last several years in my small rural town I've seen about a half dozen C7s, 4 of which have been mine.

There are many more C3-C6 Vettes though.

I live in Northern VA. People have them, but not usually as a daily driver. On a nice day, you'll pass a few on the road with the top off.

People around here also seem to prefer the German makes for daily driven performance. I see alot of Audi and BMW on the road.

I live just outside of town. The city population is 43,000. I see a handful of C7's around in addition to ours. I know four of the owners personally. My 19 GS is the first Vette out of five that I actually purchased locally. The dealer made me an offer on my C6 GS trade and the price of the new one that I couldn't resist.

marsheng 04-15-2019 08:00 AM

Rural area of Ontario Canada, very few sightings and usually in nice weather.

Frosty 04-15-2019 08:05 AM

In Vero Beach Florida, I see more Porsches by an order of magnitude. Rarely see a person driving either a Corvette or a Porsche as an apparent daily driver around the area. Instead (like me) they appear on sunny Sundays driving the coastal A1A.

I just picked up my new Grand Sport on Saturday. I live in Arlington Virginia. 2 years ago I saw a guy pull up to my building in a brand new Grand Sport and I was smitten that Vette. I think that might have been the first Corvette I had seen in Arlington in more than 2 years. We are down to 3 car dealerships in Arlington. A brand new Audi dealership, Mercedes Benz, and Maserati. Historic Bob Peck Chevrolet was leveled a few years ago and is now a gleaming glass high rise office tower. They actually incorporated the old Blue Chevy Bow Tie logos onto the new tower. But I bet I am one of the few people here that actually know it is the Chevy bow tie!

Zjoe6 04-15-2019 08:20 AM

Not too many by me, small city and I'm out in the sticks. You do see a couple in the summer. Never saw a ZR1 and don't expect to.
