front window trim,(took 6 hours) what next?
 

Ok, that was a struggle, now the trim is off, I have rubber all around the window glass, do I use piano wire all around to free up window to lift out? (not sure if this is stock with rubber)
64 coupe. and after clips are changed what do I use to put back in? silcone? or roll of tar from window place.

I had my windshield put in by the guy that painted my car 5 years ago. I tried to put my trim on but I couldn't get it to fit right and a few pieces wouldn't go back on. I was so afraid of scratching the paint that I never put it back on. It still isn't on. :ack: I had a few windshield guys look at it and they told me the aftermarket window I used was a hair too big preventing the clips from spreading. At this point I'm ready to do the whole thing over and attempt seamless glass. It's a custom so I'm not worried about keeping the stock look.
Make sure you get a quality replacement glass!

Just Cut the rubber with the utility knife make sure you don’t use a metal one you could scratch the glass use one with a plastic handle. Obviously you need a new rubber weatherstrip and the proper adhesive to put it back in. Make sure you buy the American made clips not the cheap Chinese ones. Never use silicone.
