RPM Tuned 2019 C7 ZR1 | 749 whp & 764 tq
Full video
As soon as HPtuners came out with their release Friday that they had finally unlocked C7 ZR1 tuning we new we had to get started. We made the call to one of our customers who has been waiting for this for almost a year and got his 2019 C7 ZR1 (auto) in the shop. He already has the GM Performance air intake and American Racing 2" Headers (without cats) on the car so we knew it would be a perfect platform to start modding and hit 8's with. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...195d1bfb_b.jpg It baselined right about where we see stock Manuals come in at. (Also there isn't a way to plumb boost into the dyno, but in the video you will see we log about 15lbs) https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...c1bd1bbe_b.jpg Then after a few hours of tuning we were able to pull out some pretty drastic gains. (The boost tends to climb at the very end of each pull as well) https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...e91abdd5_b.jpg Stay tuned for the Kong Performance ported blower & 2.85 pulley numbers and then our cam package and meth. https://www.youtube.com/raceprovenmotorsports |
Love it. Watch the videos every week. Looking forward to future mods and results.

Watched your video last night. That's solid numbers for tune only, and way more then Hennessey got when they tuned theirs. Staying tuned for the rest of the mods going into this ZR1.
|
Keep the videos coming, great work!

Why does it need meth?

Sounds like its running out of fuel / injector. |

I guess I better keep the brand new pal of Meth I have in the garage. I figure I will drive mine all summer and get some miles on it then ship it to you around January/February.

Meth is more for safety than running more boost imo

Adding meth to a car is usually to compensate for a lack of fuel somewhere. That’s what is throwing me off. The lt5 has port and direct injection. Should have fuel for days if the low pressure side can keep up. |

Meth is a fuel source and helps some with cooling the charge from Forced induction.

if it's like the dual injection ecoboost motors, it's not direct injection PLUS port injection as much as it is direct injection WITH port injection, meaning overall capacity "relative to the airflow needs" isn't increased because the supply system is basically sized proportionally the same.

Yea Higgs I think I’m seeing it like the PI we add to LT1s and 4s where it makes the sky the limit really.
