Need advice for Cleaning up the underhood wiring

Hi All,

Now that things are complete under my hood, I am thinking of cleaning things up. Specifically the wiring.
The Sniper system came with about 700 feet of wire (yes I exaggerate) which is currently coiled in different places and the stock wiring harness is still exposed like, well, stock.
When I did the work last winter, I replaced every wiring harness. So everything is new and nice, but I would like to start tucking them away and making it cleaner.

My main question is on the Horn Relay. I would love to replace that stock monstrosity with a cleaner looking one. Is there anything out there that you all know of for that?
Is it just a regular relay? ( My guess is No).

Any experience on cleaning up the wiring under the hood is greatly appreciated.

Scott

I plan on tackling this soon as well.
Just replaced the Master Cylinder, Brake Lines, Prop Valve, removed/repaired/replaced the Vacuum reserve tank, and cleaned up that whole L/S area down to the frame.
Now that all those components are back in place, I plan on re-organizing all the remaining spaghetti that runs from the firewall up to the front left corner.
I have a spool of that plastic corrugated conduit that I plan to try for the main wiring bundles, starting at the fuse box junction blocks and running forward. This may also work for the vacuum hoses, but not holding out much hope there.
I will report back (with photos) if I think it passes the laugh test. I'm afraid it might end up looking too Bubba-ish.

Thanks.
I have pulled all of the vacuum out and am going with electric wipers and headlight actuators. Also I have manual brakes so I pulled the booster out and the vacuum from the engine to the booster.
I will be looking at tucking the horn relay under the fender closer to the firewall and running the harness through the top inside of the fender well to keep it completely hidden.
My fans have a lot of wiring around them for the relays, so that will be a mess to clean up too.

The horn realy is basically three things-

A terminal block-
Horn relay
key in ignition buzzer

It can be replaced by a terminal piece- a few bucks on eBay...

A simply Bosch type relay to control the horn-

And for the key buzzer- you can upgrade it to a much less annoying chime- for about $30.

Use a 95+ GM part number 14101255

Put in under the dash- and hook to the key wire there (right off the column) and can even connect the dash illumination wire and you'll now have a left your lights on reminder-

Here's how to wire-
