Black Paint cloudy after mother’s speed wax.

How can I get rid of this cloudy streaky look off of paint before a car show next month. Thanks

Wash it with Dawn dish soap to strip the wax off and start again with a different product.

I have been using products from Zaino, and I couldn't be happier

Cloudy is a result of wax.
It moves, softens and hardens when heated and wiped, causing your clouds.
Use any synthetic product that does not contain wax after stripping it as the previous poster stated.
Zaino's expensive products or Meguiers Nexttech at $20.00 a bottle should both make you very happy.
If you use detail spray, use one that does not contain wax, especially if you are using it on the show-field in the hot sun.
A deeper shine can be achieved by waxing over a synthetic product, but you run the risk of re-introducing clouds.
Good luck and let us know how you make out.
Thanks,
Marty

I too use Meguiar’s NXT on a car that resides outside, and to be honest it is a great product and I have been using it for years. I use Zaino on my Camry, 68 Mustang, as well as the Corvette’s, and it gives me a show car shine that really makes the car pop. It is very easy to use and is reasonably priced, although you need to purchase it directly from the website. Shipping is fast and reasonable, and they are great about answering the phone to answer any question you may have.

For the record I’m not trying to push the product, but I am very happy with the results and my cars always get compliments on how they shine.

Had a black Vette and tried them "all" (waxes, that is). Zaino - a synthetic polish - made all the difference in the world. Easy to maintain, will NOT absorb pollen and dust, especially in the hot sun, blah, blah, blah....

And, to your question: NO CLOUDINESS ever. Goodbye forever to carnuba wax. Pictures below were ALL shot from two to 5 years since they were stripped w/ DAWN, and polished with Zanio's "AIO" and sealer. Maintenance amounts to simple washing and using their Z6 to remove any water borne contaminants (lime, rust, etc.). Then if going to a car show, Z8 is spritzed on a clean car and buddy, it will simply POP! Lots of complements on it at shows.

Hmm. Always used regular ol wax, ie Meguiars, Zymol and never experienced streaking or cloudiness.
Besides I dont want the shine to be tooo good....just makes the orange peel look worse.
