Rear view mirror trim headlight glare?

I have a 2017 Corvette and I have not driven it at night that much, actually I have not driven it that much at all 2500 miles. Yes my bad I will make up for that this summer, but my

question is am I the only one who notices the headlight glare from metal or reflective trim that is used around the actual mirror. I mean come on, this is a 60.0004 car

and the headlight glare from the trim material that is used around the mirror is so bad. It is horrible driving at night. I'm not sure how this design got past quality control.

Does anyone else feel my pain and is there any solution to this????

Not sure what trim your referring to as the mirror is frameless???

Not enough so called reflective trim around the mirror to allow any significant headlight glare so in short no problems.

I don't have any issue with mirror trim, but you can try masking the areas of concern with black electrical tape. If this solves the problem you can use another material such as stick on vinyl.

I've never noticed brighter reflection along the edges.

Only on 2LT & 3LT with the auto dimmer mirror is it frameless.

To the OP read this about swapping mirrors:

To the OP. Can you post a picture of your mirror?

Completely surrounding the autodimming RV mirror there is a portion of the mirror that does not dim, and yes it can be annoying at times.

Thanks for the responses I have the L1 package and there is a trim/chrome/silver around the glass portion and the headlights do reflect off it so I guess if I spent more money for the L2,3 I would not have the glare. Thanks to me no matter what package
for safety reasons it should not reflect. Take the trucks that like to put in the million watts of bulb in the lights and it's a
nightmare. To me an engineer missed that and so did quality control.

My first C7 was a 1LT, and I have an idea what you saying. I haven't noticed it with my 2LT GS. As stated above you can easily replace it with a auto dimming one. As I understand they are just a plug, and play deal. If not, someone will correct me I'm sure.

I've a base '18 St'ray. Now mirror framework at all.

^^^^ This...is what the OP is talking about. I agree with the OP, and Lisa, that it can be annoying.
