My A&A install in finally complete
I finished the install of my V3Si supercharger. I took my time as it was a winter project. Overall, I really like the kit and support from A&A. They never failed to help via emails and calls even on the weekend. Now, with this install I also thought a few supports mods were worth it so I also installed new valve springs, rocker arms with captured bearings, power bond balancer, new fuel filter, new alt bracket, etc.
My car was a bit of a pain as I have auto with a previously installed tranny cooler. All of which was in the way...Oh hotchkis swaybar makes things very tight, but manageable. I did have a vararam so I had to yank that and install new fog light surrounds. Not hard but did add additional time to complete. Oh, I installed a wideband guage and boost guage too..had to drop pretty much most of my exhaust so I could take my down pipe to have the bung welded in. I took my time as I wanted to be as anal as possible so that it looks good and somewhat stock appearing. I think it was well worth it. Well I ran put of time for my first start so that will occur tomorrow then I need to schedule for my dyno tune. I cannot wait!! Well here are some pics of the outcome and shots along the way... https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...b72b35fa90.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...75ede5c171.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...0da3810990.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...586312df85.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...0169255516.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...39b8ede62b.jpg |
The black blowers look so good. Bought my kit used but if I was getting a new one I'd have it black. Looks good, have fun with it.

[QUOTE=Time for a C-5;1599299968]I agree. I always thought I'd want the polished but the black looks killer too. Well done! Keep us updated with dyno results.[/QUOTte]
Thank you...I will post the dyno numbers. I have to travel for work this week so it will be the following week...it should be fun! |
looks good, clean install:thumbs:... I prefer the polished blowers myself but they look much better with a black bracket in my opinion, gives it a little contrast

I wish they sold natural finish blowers......... im boring lol. Looks good, post up the results when the tuning is done. I have that same front sway bar and I feel like that area is super tight with it..... seems to work OK though.

do you have a power steering cooler in the way?... I have a fat front sway bar as well and with the power steering cooler in the way the charge pipe was a little squished, I ended up removing the cooler since I don't really need it for the type of driving I do anyway and it gave me some room to work with

I moved my power steering cooler in front of the radiator. It's mounted right to the front of it.
Otherwise yes, it was smashing the tube. |
Good info... I DO have the PS cooler and fat sway bar. Project for a later date lol.
