Cam specs with A@A Supercharger

219/235 @50 643/657...115lsa. I want a lopey idle with massive mid range power. I am also doing drop in pistons. What brand of dish piston should I go with. I want to drop the compression maybe a full point.I'd like to up boost a couple psi and keep stock fuel components. The cam has a 38% fuel lobe. I am shooting for around 650rwhp. Track time low 10. Thanks in advance. I value the knowledge of you guys on here. Car is currently on 9psi making 587rwhp. I dont want to spin it much higher than 7k. That's why I chose a 115 LSA. However it should thump hard at idle.

Since nobody has responded, I figured I could post to get things going. On my Camaro, I went with the Jannetty Racing rough idle cam. I added LT4 fuel, e85 and LT headers. With the Maggie at 8psi, I was running 715 to the wheels (a8)...others have run 93 octane and 10psi for same power.

I went to 800whp by going to a smaller pulley...but here is a video of the exhaust and my daughter (she is 12 and getting a little rev happy).

I am about to take the same route with my Corvette but will be running the LT4 blower. I know with that it’s a really easy path to over 700whp. I did go with drop in pistons also, but left compression the same as stock.

For the Vette, I will likely go ahead and get those from JRE Racing, but am also looking at the Vengence options and the GWatney option for drop in rods and pistons seems really attractive too.

The only drop in pistons that I’m aware of are stock 11.5cr. I went with Wiseco 10.5 and Lunati h beam rods. Of course I had to get the rotating assembly balanced. It currently makes 593 at 6350 on just under 6psi with a D-1X. Cam is BTR custom and I have LT4 pump and injectors with long tubes and cats.

Car is currently at tuner for a smaller pulley. It would be awesome if he can crack 700.

Wisco has the drop in pistons and Glen Watney has drop in rod and piston combo.

238/242,.645/635 112 LTH and YSi-V7, 3.8 upper and stock dia lower.... right around 650 at 5psi. Out of fuel as of now, seeing 6+ms on my injectors and 45psi on my LPFP from 5500 on up.

For the low side did you go into the tune and up the voltage? If you have HP tuners you can go into the fuel pump/general and there is a mIn voltage setting. If you up it to 16 you might see the pressure hold.

On the Camaro, I added a voltage booster and am running 800whp with e85/cam that’s when my injectors were maxed. On the Vette everyone seems to think the voltage booster isn’t ideal so I am planning to just up the voltage through the tune.

Glen Watney? Could this be a misspelling? I can’t find anything under that name. Also, are those Wiseco drop ins 11.5 cr or other? I don’t see anything in the Wiseco catalogue listed as “drop in”. Links and/or part numbers would be awesome.
Thanks!

Never mind. Found the Gwatney site. Their piston rod combo is 11.5. OP I think is looking to drop compression a bit.

I think various places use wiseco pistons. I recommend calling JRE Racing. Ted is the owner and he’s incredible to deal with. I am sure that there are several other vendors you could use also. I bought my LT1 drop-in pistons from Ted.

I believe he has a “drop in” setup for rods and pistons too...but truthfully, It seems that most people believe swapping rods and pistons should also get rebalanced.

If you talk to Ted tell him Russ said to call. 👌

i am trying to finalize my order now.

Decided on a Jannety rough idle cam. Lt4 high side and dsx low side.

Can't wait to see the results. You can't go wrong with Ted.

Here she is. I'm thinking around 640-660rwhp. Boost will remain around 9psi. Yes, this is a custom JRE camshaft Any guesses on power numbers.

We can put you together a complete package with a custom cam profile to work with your build. Give us a call, happy to help.
Thanks,
Billy

Congrats. Over 70rwhp gain

Did you have the stock cam in it before the change? what else was changed?

Yes , stock cam. Fuel upgrades.
Thank you. I'm picking it up in a couple hours. I'll post a sound clip.

Can’t wait to hear it. I am torn. The rough idle cam sounds so good but I am really concerned about making the Vette too loud. I kind of think the rough idle cam with stock manifolds and cats would sound awesome! Or, the smooth idle cam will have the same performance with the “like stock” sound...
