Scratchless Tire Brush
I'm looking for a tire brush or other cleaning tool that will clean the tires but won't scratch the OEM black wheels on my C7 Z06 when there is incidental contact. What is everyone using?

Walmart has numerous brushes of every type that should do the job. No need for a specialized brush that you spend lots of money on. the finish on the wheels is very durable and if your not scrubbing mud off them you should be fine. Just use plenty of PH balanced car wash soap that gives you lots of foam and bubbles to carry away the dirt and grime. Dry, seal and wax as usual.

I agree with cmonkey713. While I use a gentle Speedmaster brush for the wheels, my tire brush isn't fancy. It is made specifically for tires, but isn't anything super special. It just has an offset handle so your knuckles are protected. The lip of my wheels gets hit with the tire brush while cleaning the sidewalls, and I have never seen any damage. Clearcoats are tough.
I use this one, but yeah, Walmart brushes are perfectly fine: https://www.autogeek.net/tire-scrub-brush.html |
Check out Boars hair brushes or Wheel Woolies.

Thanks. Good to hear I don't need to be overly concerned.
