C4 1994 interior question
 

Recently purchased a 94 base model and the console and the panel up around the radio have sort of a rubberized coating on it. I wondered if that’s original or not? Because mine has turned into an uncleanable sticky mess and it is peeling in some areas. I’m not sure how to go about cleaning or or removing it?

I think it's just deteriorated plastic/ vinyl. I used a satin black spray paint to cover the pockets and next I'm going to cover the flatter surfaces with 3M carbon fiber look wrap. I've used it before and it looks and feels great.
Mine had been garage kept for 25 years.. only 36k.

Is that like a shrink wrap? That would be great. Where do you get it?
