C5 wheels for my C3

I was able to purchase a set of 4 C5 , 5 spoke factory corvette wheels, for $100, yesterday on Craigslist here in Phila. Im doing my research here on the forum, sounds like 2.5" spacers should do the trick!!

use concentric adapters only.

nix the spacers, buy wheels that FIT!

As a mechanical engineer, I'll say it again....FORGET WHEELS WITH SPACERS.....that's TWO movable mating surfaces, on a wheel not designed for it, on a hub not designed for it, on studs not designed for it.

They'll get loose and then that's the end of the wheels 'look' good, but the car is wrecked.

Search around the net...find any RACECARS that use wheel spacers....terrible, horrible, bad engineering, band-aid.

Be SAFE young man!

This man is CORRECT, methinks/hopes the OP just misused a term....what he needs is 2.5" thick ADAPTORS the diff beeeeeeeing it takes TEN BOLTS to get to the rotor.....and they have to be concentric to the steel hub and concentric to the wheel hub.....so the adaptors have to be a machine shop product...not some damn cheeeeep CAST thing that WILL come apart....

BTW, I have had VBP (RIP) adaptors on my '72 for 22 years now '89 vette wheels.....happen to be same thickness as OP is contemplating 2.5".......front and rear.....I am running 275/50/17 in rear 255/50/17 in front,
