Question on auto tranny tune with sc
 

Guys,

Just thinking out loud here, but I took out all tq management when my car had bolt ons but no FI....So is it better to add some or all tq management back in after you install a SC or turbo? Also, did you change shift points after adding FI?

I suppose it will help live longer. I've run 700+hp for years without it, but have rebuilt the 4L60 many times as well. So after the last build, I turned it on as an experiment. On the street I didn't really notice it. At the track it definitely cost some ET, as the timing drops to literally nothing on each shift. It has since been removed.
