Creeping up in taking '07 A6 to the Track

I was driving up in the mountains today, beautiful day to have the top off of my '07 A6. I have driven the second 150+ miles, after getting the Diablo Custom Tune from Lew. Throttle response is definitely better, and the car takes off more briskly. Shifts are quicker and more firm in both regular "drive" and in "sport mode" with the paddle shifters. Some time in the next few weeks I'll find a place to do the WOT data logging. I DO LIKE this method of DRIVING the car for the Tuning, instead of sending the ECM off to be somehow run in a Dyno somewhere else. Question: is it really possible, I mean while driving on regular roads, to Over-Rev an LS-2?

Yes, I posted several months ago about going out to High Plains Raceway, but I'm so busy I have had to be patient. I'm practicing Braking with my Left Foot ... this is not easy to get used to, but is suggested for Track Days. I'm also using the proper seating position, closer to the steering wheel and with a TIGHT shoulder belt. I did drive out and visit High Plains two weeks ago. I need to Register, and then the next Open Lapping days are still a coupla weeks away.

The car handles like AN ANIMAL! Braking LATE into turns at crazy speed, and then Throttle Steering out of the turns is not as easy as it looks. Leaving it in Third works well. Using both feet is starting to feel more natural, and it is obviously quicker. I would like to just "burn off" both the Duralast Nascar brake pads and these Michelin Pilot Sport 3+ All Season Zero Pressure (run flat) tires. Dano523 installed the brake pads for me, and I have about 10,000 miles on them. I'll put on another set ASAP. These Michelin PS A/S RF's are noisy and stiff, I don't really like them and agree with what others have said ... they are just too much of a compromise. I would really like to try a set of Cooper RS3-G1's or even RS3-S summer tires.
