so my production sequence number is 116,093. I am a bit confused since that year they made 37K, and the 1 millionth corvette was a c4. When did the sequence number start?

The first digit(1) is not part of the build sequence; for example, the first car built that year would be 100001. Your car is number 16093.

Sequence number (5 digits) starts over again every model year.
