FS (CT) '11 GS coupe 3LT manual

SOLD, SOLD, SOLD
2011 Grand Sport coupe Z16 3LT 6-spd manual with 17,417 miles. Black with ebony interior.
I love this car but just haven't had the time to enjoy it (I am a Catholic Priest with a very busy parish). I am the second owner and purchased the car in December 2016 with 13,706 miles on the odometer. It currently sits at 17,417.
As you probably know, it is a widebody, has dry sump oil system, bigger brakes. Has removable glass roof panel and active NPP exhaust

At the time I purchased it (Dec 16) the tires were replaced in stock size Michelin Pilot Super Sport, oil was changed, new wipers and new battery. I then upgraded the brake pads to Carbotech XP10 in front and XP8 in rear with Motul RBF600 DOT4 brake fluid

In the first year of ownership, I installed a MGW short throw shifter which feels much more precise without any additional noise, vibration or harshness. Car is otherwise completely stock suspension and power wise.
Oil has been changed each Fall before being stored for winter in a heated garage on a battery tender. Paint has been maintained with random orbital polisher each winter

A commonly used car sale site has valued the car as follows: Instant Market Value= $35,521, Private Sale Value= $33,861. I am listing the car at $32,000 in the interest of a quick sale to a fellow enthusiast. Nearly identical cars are listed for $36,990 - $39,900. I am not desperate to sell the car so please don't bombard me with lowball offers. They will not be accepted.

I have had no problems with the car. Paint looks great, interior looks great. Only flaw is under the hood on the liner. It appears that a mouse nibbled on the hood liner pad during previous owner's tenure. I went over the car and stored it in a garage with multiple bait traps for the first winter. Never found any further signs of mice and used peppermint oil as a mouse repellant in the garage.

I also have Lloyds mats with "Corvette Racing" logo and a second set of wheels which came with the car but I never used - they are gloss black ZR1 replica wheels which could be purchased at a discount if desired.

Please ask any questions you have or point out if I have omitted pertinent information. Thank you for looking

If you have to apologize, why go forward with the comment? Maybe he bought this before he became a priest? Maybe his family has money? Maybe he's great with investments? Maybe he lives very frugally to afford a fun car? There is no issue with a Catholic priest having a Corvette. This coming from someone who does not practice any religion.

GLWS! Car looks great.

You know thinking about it, as much as I would love a discussion on this, the Ops listing is not the place for it. Maybe I will start a discussion in the Politics and Religion section. I will delete my comment.

Looks like I missed something. Thanks for the support.

While I do have very supportive family and friends, I live extremely frugally. I don't get paid much but I don't waste a penny of what I earn. I have always had a great passion for cars and have enjoyed driving many different types of cars, including many that friends threw me the keys to because they know of my passion. I have enjoyed muscle cars, sports cars and vintage sports cars, supercars and purpose built race cars. I think the C6 Grand Sport is one of the best returns on an investment that there is. Additional power can be difficult to put down and it can be driven as a GT cruiser or a track car with equal joy depending on the driver or their mood.

While I have loved this car and treated it accordingly, I don't get to drive it enough to warrant the investment of my meager funds. Therefore, I am trying to find another home for it. It should be enjoyed. Not looking to fire anyone up. Just seemed like a little explanation might have been necessary or helpful.

Again, thanks for looking. Please let me know if you have any questions. Enjoy your cars

Are the new tires run flats? No accidents and clean title? Great looking car.

The tires are not run flats. I heard too many complaints from people saying they wouldn't buy run flats again. The fronts are Michelin Pilot Super Sport 275/35ZR18 which are 99Y Extra Load rated. The rears are 325/30ZR19 which are 105Y XL rated. After zeroing out my digital tread depth gauge I am showing the center channels at 7-8/32 with the side sipes showing more wear at 5-5.5/32. These are a 300 tread wear tire and have 3,711 miles on them since new.

The car has never been launched hard under my ownership. I have done 3 HPDE events: Tire Rack Track Night in America at Thompson Speedway road course which is a newly paved 1.7mile course. Each night involved 3 x 20 minute sessions on track. If you are familiar with the format, they are very safe events for street cars. The car was great and the tires held up very well.

The car has zero accidents.

I transferred money into my account on Thursday to pay off the Title with USAA Bank. For some reason, the deposit wasn't credited until Friday. It currently shows the deposit has been received but is not yet available. I tried to call my local bank to clear the funds but they are not in the office at all today. My expectation is that the funds will be transferred to USAA on Monday morning and I will receive the Title from them ASAP.

Thanks

Loan has been paid off and USAA is sending me the title by FedEx.
Once I have the title in hand, I will be listing the car on the other car sale sites as well. Thanks for looking

CTGrandSport11 05-17-2019 07:08 PM

Finally got the Title in hand today. Will be listing the car on a variety of sites for sale. Will accept a offer of $32,000 from CorvetteForum members which is $500 below my minimum offer from other sale outlets.

Please let me know if you have any questions or want any additional pictures. Thanks for looking.

Finally cracked 70 degrees today! It's Corvette season!

I suppose I should mention that clutch fluid has been maintained using the "Ranger method".
I have both keys and the owner's manual. Will also include CoverCraft Custom Dustop Car Cover for garage use, a $250 value

Is the car still available?

CTGrandSport11 05-29-2019 11:15 AM

Deal should be closed today. Holiday delayed the bank check. I would say the car is sold but if something crazy happens I will update the thread immediately. Thanks
