A&A Secondary drive damper...Do i got the good one ???(Pics inside)
Alreadys ent a message to Josh but while waiting i think that its a good idea to ask this qestion here since im maybe not the only one with this issue ...
I cant seems to find any pics or info about this issue. Basic specs: -Ls2 Darton sleeved 427 ci , dragonslayer crank (nothing spcial) -Manley double chain , melling 10296 oil pump ( again nothing special) -A&A Ysi with A&A secondary drive , 4 belt setup with the new I/W Damper (nope nothing special) Issue: Damper doesnt fit flush to the crank ...not even close to be flush...(see pics) From the pics you can see that the damper doesnt fit nearly flush the crank ? Facts: Everything seems to be perfectly align (a/c, blower, etc, etc) Tried to take it off, reinstall, take it off again , re install and re torque...many times and it still doesnt go more deeper ...Using the ls7 length damper bolts that came with the damper from I/W not the GM ls7 base bolts that came with my A&A kit. Since the pump was shim .125" to clear the chain , the relief cut from the hub has been machine from .365" to .450" to achieve correct clearance with the oil pump As per Chris Rose instructions from I/W So am i lost ??? Is it because its a ls7 hub??? or No problem the hub is just longer, the pulley are aligned ??? from what I remember mine looks the same, if it's seated and everything lines up let it roll

Yes that is normal to have the snout that far inside the balancer. You are lined up and good to go.
