Factory Refurbished Wheels (questions....)
 

I have a 2008 C6 Z51 and it has the chrome "gumby" wheels. I wanted for years now to find a set of the Competition Grey QX1 split five spoke take offs to buy but not too many are available in good condition that I have been able to find. However I see tons of websites out there that offer factory OEM refurbished wheels that have been powder coated or painted and repaired.

Does anyone have experience with this, as my concern is that the refurbished wheels could be off when it comes to weight of the wheels due to any repairs of chips and road rash, the quality of the repair and extent of damage that is acceptable for a repair and resale etc.... I would love to just have my current wheels striped and repainted as I am not into chrome (and the chrome looks like crap and is all pitted and dull anyway...) or be able to find a reliable place that sells OEM wheels in the finish of your choice. Any recommendations or success/horror stories from anyone out there?
