Hood/Wiper conceal cover alignment shims

1969 Coupe

I need to move my hood towards the back of the car to correct 3 issues. The gap at the front nose of the hood is too small and the hood rubs both fenders at the hinge points. I believe I need to shim the windshield wiper conceal cover towards the back of the car which will also align the side windshield mouldings with the wiper cover moulding. How many control shim points are there 3? And 1 actuator shim?

YES...there are three shim points ( if needed). One shim point is where the actuator is mounted...and then on the ends of the wiper frame on each side.

Thanks

Yes I guess you can put shims there if needed where the orange circle is on your illustration.

You are ware that the wiper door installation and set up is clearly outlined in the assembly manual and what measurements GM provides for this.

Because you do have a limit of movement on the bracket that is bolted to the side of the wiper door mechanism where it attaches to the cowl.

Yes but never as clear as your experience

Thanks again
