2009 Cyber Gray Corvette Z06 3LZ ONLY 2900 MILES

Im finally biting the bullet and listing the most beautiful car I’ve owned and may ever own for sale in hopes that the next owner will appreciate her as much as I do, but will utilize her more. It’s a shame that I’ve driven this beauty as much as the original owner, who was a collector from Oklahoma.

When looking for a C6Z I specifically sought a 2009. This is truly the Goldilocks year for this generation Z06. The 2009 had several factory upgrades to correct issues of the previous year C6Zs, including: a larger 10.5 quart dry sump to combat oil starvation issues that plagued early year cars, revised steering rack for better steering feel, Bluetooth navigation. The 2009s also do not suffer the issues associated with polymer main bearings that were required for use on 2012+ LS7s(lead bearings were outlawed post 2009). Not to mention, this is the first year for Cyber Grey Metallic. This color is a real head turner, especially in direct sunlight. It has a 3LZ interior with white stitching over black leather. Interior aesthetics is not exactly the strong suit of the C6, but the 3LZ actually looks like it’s better than something suited for a rental car, unlike the lower 1LZ and 2LZ interior trims.

She is flawless with only 2900 miles and as mint as they come. She is a fully loaded 3LZ, including navigation, rear spoiler and chrome spyder wheels. I planned on keeping her forever, and maintained her as such: Oil is fresh (<100 miles old, Mobil 1), Potenza RE-11 tires have <1500 miles on them, and the battery is < 1 year old.

She is ready to go and needs nothing but an enthusiast owner who has more time to drive. Call for details. I’m located in NJ about 10 mins from Newark airport

The GMPP expired in 2016. I may have been mistaken for the year for the bearing material change. I believe there have been a few documented bearing failures on 2012-2013 model years. Anyway, here’s the link:

2012 & 13 are known for bearing issues.

Yup. So 2009 was something of a Goldilocks year for the C6Z.

Yes it does. My apologies, I should have listed it separately in the first post. It’s a fully loaded 3LZ.

I have a 2009 Cyber Gray 3LZ. I bought it with 9K miles and I love that thing. I hope I never sell it. 55k$ is pretty expensive but since its MINT you may find someone who is looking for that specific car. I also agree the color in sunlight is amazing and has blue metallic in it.

Thank you. I am open to serious offers.

Did you get the heads repaired?

Mig233 05-30-2019 08:58 PM

As far as I know the heads are stock. I always cringe when I see “repaired” or “fixed” heads. There’s a ton of misinformation on the forum and I’m not sure if the root cause has been truly determined.

Case in point, when I see someone has repaired their heads with solid SS exhaust valves or hollow SS intake valves, it validates this theory that people don’t really know what is the true single point failure.
