68 wiper motor rebuild Qs

hey all, i tested my wiper motor and it is froze up. i have rebuilt these in the past with good luck. but this one is fighting me. i ordered a rebuilt one from the local store, but when it came in it was a newer version with the extra wires coming out of the transmission housing. maybe a 69 motor not a 68 as i needed?
so i received my new DRIVELINE the other day. and low and behold the vendor profile is about D&M RESTORATION. a rebuild service for wiper motors gauges and such.
my questions are:
1. has anyone used these guys for a wiper motor overhaul?
2. is it pricey? $ range?
give me your thoughts here guys. thanks troy

I have a 73 and decided to remove the wiper motor an clean it up. The PO had sprayed some type of sealant/rubber goo that was hard as a rock. In the process, I broke the resistor (lower wiper speed). I contacted our good friend Ernie at Willcox who gave me the resistor value. I installed the resistor, but wasn’t sure where both terminals attached. I tested the motor and nothing worked. I panicked and sent the motor to D&M Restoration. After a day of thinking, I realized I blew the fuse, real smart on my part. I had D&M correctly install the resistor and lubricate the motor. I installed the wiper motor and washer, it worked great. After I was able to secure a washer tank, and install the water lines, the washer pump would not operate. I sent it back to them and they repaired the washer, under warranty. I think they have a one year warranty. Once you send them the motor, they will call and let you know the repair cost. It ain’t cheap, but I wanted to keep the original motor.
