30 Years of ownership.....1974 Coupe
 

...it was 30yrs ago this week I bought my Orange 1974 coupe. I was 28yrs old then and it had 28,700 original miles on it. Even had the original GoodYear Steelgard narrow white stripe tires on it too although they were pretty much dry rotted on the sidewalls so I of course replaced them. Drove it Saturday eve and last fall before I put it away had just turned it over to 52,000 miles. Didn't know then I'd have it this long!!!

Time flies huh! I think I've had mine 8 years now.

I know what you mean, we owned our 75 white Vette with thin white wall tire now for 34 years. just finished replacing everything with new items. replaced the L48 with a Blueprint 383 along with a 3.70 axle and replaced the white wall with new 1976 alum wheels and BF Goodrich tires.

Congrats and great colour. I just got a 72 in Ontario orange from a guy who had for 12 years. He almost pulled it off the car carrier when it was leaving him so I can only imagine how hard selling urs would ever be one day!

Congrats on thirty years of ownership. It looks like you’ve kept your ‘74 in prime condition. It’ll take me 29 more years to match your years of ownership. (I’m not sure I’ll live to see that day, but we’ll wait and see). Drive on!

Hey Paul, that is great brother. You've kept your Vette longer than most people keep their houses!
I've had enough cars to know when you find a good one, it's really a keeper. Sometimes I think if my bedroom was bigger, .....I keep one in there with me! :lol:

Congrats! Very nice '74. It's definitely a pivotal year, being the first C3 with no chrome bumpers whatsoever, but still retaining the interior of the earlier versions. Still loving mine and may you enjoy the summer cruises out there, on a nice night!
