When I chose C3 it was because I loved the car!

1972 Vette- I was first introduced to the little car on a late Friday night when I pulled against it in a highly modified 340 duster.... when the lights rolled green - I squeezed all she had and she started to get wayyyyyyy loose -- by the time I gained control we were going into high gear, and the little Vette was at my tail fin, she leaped into my driver area in high gear and let off. I let off because she did, That was my first side by side.... .....THEN - I wanted a Vette.. - it was stock and I was 7k into a Mopar build.... It took me all my life to own one and now--- I troll this little forum for all the ideas I can to make my little lady all she can be --- thanks too all for making me a very happy man.

Mitch, those little dusters w/ the 340s were pretty quick, a light car. Glad you came over. Mark

Maybe but they are U-G-L-Y.
Nova's are quick and light but they are U-G-L-Y too.

Do you still have the Duster?

I dusted off a 340 Duster once!

My dad had a bunch of Dusters when I was a kid. Not sure why! None of them were fast.

Not all Dusters were V8 / performance cars ... many came with slant-six motors. Given enough space, even those would run over a hundred.

Had 7 Duster/Demons/Valiants/Scamps...ALL with a 140hp slant 6/ 225. For Decades these were my 'winterbeaters.'. Not quick, but light and had an ENORMOUS trunk and returned 25 mpg on bat-piss gas.
When it was 37 degrees below zero...it was the only car on the block that started right up!

If anybody ever SEE's a 'Duster Convertriple' let me know. Hatch/Sunroof/ fold down rear seat.....super rare!

BTW...I had the 69 L-46 FIRST!

Unkahal

Slant sixes would go forever..youd replace a head gasket once in awhile but couldnt kill em.
340s are nothing to laugh at they would dust most sbc of the era.
