Issues with Metra Double DIN Bezel Fitment

Does anyone else have this issue I'm experiencing? I installed a double DIN radio with the Metra bezel a year or two ago. When I got my car out after the winter, I noticed that on the passenger side of the bezel near the radio, there's nothing really securing it to the rest of the dash. I can push on the bezel part and it moves A LOT in this area. Did I install this wrong or are there any tricks for it? Anyone else seen this or have any ideas on how to fix it? I have a trim part that came with my radio that I'm thinking about cutting the Metra bezel part to get it to fit and that might hold it tight to the radio, but before I take a dremel to this I figured I'd get a second opinion. Thanks!

I used two washer under the posts on the console floor where the bezel/console is bolted down.

Hope this helps!

Thanks! I'll try this before cutting anything up. I'm hoping it's an easier fix like this to get it to be how I want it.

Not sure if this will help, or same issue you have, but this is how I fixed the factory bezel gap.

That gap isn’t because of the metra bezel, it’s there with the factory bezel too. As pointed out already there are ways to make fitment better.

Thanks all, I'll try a few things. This makes me feel better that it's there with the factory bezel too...I want to try some of these fixes and see if I can improve on it. Thanks again for everyone's expertise!

Just as an update, I added two washers underneath the attachment points near the storage compartment and bent the tab behind the ashtray towards the front of the car and this helped the fitment dramatically. Thank you all for your help!

My car didn’t have the radio floor to radio bracket. No vendors sell them and eventually I found one on EBay for thirty dollars, are you kidding. I took a flimsy metal bracket and cut it to fit to the screw post on the radio and the metal stud on the floor. I don’t mind paying for parts, but I thought the price was not reasonable. You may have better luck finding a bracket for less money.
