Race ramps
What size ramp is recommended for a Z06.
|
The longest you can get. Mine are the longest at 67 inch
|
They make a 67” ramp, and they also have an extender for the 56” and the 67” ramp.
|
What are you using the ramp for? Trailer ramp or car maintenance? Z06 with Stage 2 or 3 Aero front splitter requires a ramp angle that is no more than about 5.5 degrees.
You can use the Reverse Logic Ramp Calculator to determine which ramp will work for you. https://www.reverselogic.us/race-ramps.html On my 15 Z06/Z07 the front splitter is 5 5/8 inches off the ground 34.5 inches in front of the center ground contact point of the front wheels. https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...1d79893376.jpg You can choose a ramp and run the Reverse Logic Calculator to determine if it will work with your car's measurements. just checked so are mine |
I do own a Z06/Z07 at stock height.
For trailer loading use, I did buy a Race Ramps RR-TR-6, and it works with no rubbing. It's only 45" long, and has 8.2 degrees of inclination, but it (barely) clears. https://raceramps.com/wp-content/upl...08/RR-TR-6.jpg https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/S3...=w1156-h867-no |
Really depends on your current ramp situation. I have 67" race ramps that go along with the aluminum ramps that came with my aluminum open trailer. If I had purchased longer aluminum ramps, I probably wouldn't have needed the race ramps.

Would not go on trailer without race ramps. Bought the rrtr5 race ramps and goes up really easy on trailer. Not even close to hitting. Bought from reverse logic. Use coupon code SAVE10 for 10% off. Best price i could find. |

Or you can build your own with 2x12's no rubbing. I know, I moved the rear chocks, LOL! |
Go with the 67" two piece. Great for our cars unless they are lowered, then you will need extensions. Very light to store. Also 67" are 14" wide, so great for our tires.

I just called Fred at reverse Logic a couple days ago, and he took all my numbers needed to get my 17 Grand Sport in my ATC enclosed trailer safely. Very nice to have someone help you being sure the ramps will work for you. After all was said and done, I ordered these with the built in door flap relief also. https://www.reverselogic.us/trailer-...out/p/21231586 I will let you know how they work out in the near future. Fred is a nice guy, very knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend talking to him if you need and type of ramps for your car. Cheers Dale |
For car maintenance sounds like 67" is the one to get? Just to double check It's this one right RR-XT-2 https://www.raceramps.com/garage-ser...ace/p/RR-XT-2/
I read in the description "can support up to 1,500 pounds each for a total vehicle weight capacity of 6,000 pounds" Do people actually use 4 and put the whole car in the air? Anyways for oil change, tranny and diff fluid change, RR-XT-2 is the one right? Can handle up to 3k pounds in the front/rear half of the car. Did you guys get the one-piece or two-piece? two-piece looks like you can have easier access to the sides of the car. |
I use mine for my lift, A direct Lift Pro Park 8S. They are 5-1/2" high at the lift and are 48" long. I have no trouble at all with the Z06 although I don't have a Z07 and have the minimal areo package.--Bob
