Is the poverty splitter a factory option on the base Stingray/Z51?

zelbo 05-17-2019 02:25 PM

stock?

I did notice those as well, but the goal here is to enjoy and discuss our common interest. That said, the four splitters, window tint and photoshop effects may "bend" the rules (whatever they are) but IMHO these shouldn't disqualify any of these ten beautiful Vettes.

I am honored! Thanks for having mine in the group.... completely stock, and it was a show car for GM when the GS was introduced.

Stock is 'STOCK' no mods of any kind, non, zero. Such a a poor representation in this group. Sad, very sad indeed, I will NOT vote, thank you.

zelbo 05-18-2019 12:56 PM

mods or options

Maybe we need a moderator, if a car is delivered with factory OEM "options" are they considered modifications? BTW without tint in Florida you will soon look like a transporter malfunction.

As stated above stock is STOCK!!!

Iceman2000 05-20-2019 11:26 AM

My two cents:
The balance in the patriotic colors, widebody (with the right options) seem to work for the GS appearance. Nevertheless, to be fare... I’ve never test drove the Z06 nor ZR1 to factor they horsepower.

Thank you for choosing our car to be a part of this group of awesome C7s. We are honored.

What is this competition? Who can take the best photo of a stock vette? Is this a photography contest?

zelbo 05-26-2019 08:11 AM

Garrett, as a Senior member with over three thousand posts I'm certain this isn't your first rodeo. This "contest" albeit loosely defined, merely allows those interested to show their pride in ownership. The Vettes, the picture quality, the background and composition all add to each submission. Remember - "De gustibus non est disputandum" it is just fun to see the combinations of colors, interiors, wheels, and all. Everybody wins and we all get a participation trophy. What is the harm in that?

Well, I voted for you (I think, love that color!) so had you voted for yourself and I for myself it would have turned out the same :woohoo:

Oh, and congrats to Marco Polo, hard to argue with a grandsport in the original color scheme

If "stock is stock"... why don't we all just run over to the local chevy dealer...because is a photography contest..

that said... oh man.. love that admiral blue GS.. will be looking for that car as a convertible when winter comes....I have the screaming, flaming "I gotta have it's" for that ride!!!
